Writing a novel is a whole different thing than writing a short story. All those bits about personal life that are left out of crime and mystery short stories are supposed to be a part of a novel. Apparently. The first attempt at a Bo Fexler novel got some agent attention, but no acceptance. So, I have retired that attempt, taken the feedback under great consideration, and started anew.
Bo Fexler’s first novel is titled Hot and Bothered. After suffering the loss of her mentor and boss the same night someone burns down her apartment building, Bo finds that her sense of vengeance, which had lain dormant for years, has been reignited. She sets out to find who burned the apartment, which provides a distraction from a loss she doesn’t know how to deal with.
